Development of a self-initiated project.
What does it mean to live in a house that is not your parents’ house? What does it mean to share a house with more people? What does this all entail?
Living in a shared house often comes with a set of difficulties. Coordinating schedules, dividing tasks, and managing shared spaces require good communication and compromise. Similarly, living alone also presents challenges, as the chores won’t do themselves. Maintaining a house in good condition is very important.
“Tiramisu” aims to design materials that will help in the planning and organisation of a student house, either for people who decide to live alone, or even for those who share a house. This brand will target two audiences, both sharing the common experience of living away from their parents’ homes:
- Living Alone Kit. Individuals who have chosen to live alone, and need support to organise themselves with the daily tasks that a household requires.
- Shared House Kit. People living in shared houses who face challenges in coordinating responsibilities and maintaining harmony among housemates.
The selection of the name has several reasons: firstly, it references the well-known Italian dessert, tiramisu, which has become an internationally recognised treat. Additionally, as an Italian brand, it was important to incorporate an Italian element into the naming. Secondly, it also means “tirami su,” which translates to “lift me up” in English. This meaning aligns perfectly with the brand’s goal, as it suggests helping or motivating people to tackle household chores, conveying the message in a fun yet direct way.
